No fashion sense
Someone used the phrase "the devil wears prada" to me. I had no idea what that meant, so I asked and was informed that it was a movie title. Having trouble parsing the last word, I asked if they meant Pravda, now curious about a potentially interesting political film. Sadly, I was informed that prada was indeed the correct pronunciation, because it referred to something in the fashion world. While a little disappointed at the time, upon reflection I am happy for two points:
Also for reference, I would appreciate it if nobody tried to enlighten me on a more precise definition of prada. I do not want to know if it's a style, color, kind of garment, person or company. Thanks for understanding.
- I had no idea this fluff movie existed
- I had no idea that prada is a well-known fashion thing
